Where has the time gone? When did my baby grow up so quickly? Why can’t we pause time and leave them little forever? Miss T said goodbye to Kinder and is preparing for big girl school, so I threw her a party, as you do hehe. She wanted rainbows and unicorns, so that’s exactly what she got.
It was a very last minute decision to throw a small party and after their huge combined birthday parties, I was not mentally prepared for the aftermath, so I decided to keep it small and only invite family members and her cousins. Of course, a graduation is not complete without a gown so I got her the cutest pink gown and a mortaboard ( the cap) to add some extra cuteness and doubles as a keepsake she can hold on to for years to come.
A good party has a lot of desserts. Unlike my other parties, I wanted to keep this one nice and simple and use what I already had so I styled the playroom, keeping some toys for the kids to play with and brought in my Hide & Seek outdoor setting to use as the main table. I used my gorgeous Indi tribe Collective grazing table as the main dessert table where I created a sweets grazing spread.
We weren’t short of desserts, in fact we had that many desserts, I was still eating them almost one week later ( diet went out the window). Miss T added her own touch to her cake by placing a unicorn and rainbow cookie which looked super cute. Our spread had some of Melbourne’s most talented suppliers that supplied cookies, artisan chocolate, cake, mini tarts, panna cotta cups, meringues, macarons, donuts and so many lollies – thank goodness T hates lollies hahaha
We kept lunch nice and simple with a beautiful grazing board, filled with some of my favourite cheeses, supplied by the talented The Little Grazer Box Co. It was so delicious and such a crowd pleaser! Who doesn’t love a good grazing board?
I wanted to gift the guests something that they could keep and use so we chose Luna Naturel personalised candles to suit the theme. I also wanted to gift my princess something so special that she would keep forever and remember her time before primary school and I couldn’t think of a better gift than a personalised necklace from Love Gwen. The most gorgeous and dainty necklace with the initials of our little family. She squealed of excitement as she received her gifts. I saved some other gifts I already had and wrapped them for the special day. Safe to say she was excited.
The Kids decorated their own cookies that T and I baked the night before.
Overall, she had the most amazing day filled with love, fun and most importantly beautiful memories with her cousins. It was a bittersweet day for me. My baby isn’t a baby anymore, but she’s grown into such a beautiful and smart young girl and I can’t wait to see her through the next chapter of her life. Congratulations Little T. May your years of school be nothing but joyous and may you achieve all your hopes and dreams.
